Yossi Alfi is a multidisciplinary artist and the founder of the community theater, the founder of the annual festival of storytellers and a poet, this is his fourteenth book of poems. The new book, ‘Eromonia’ focuses on a personal medical experience that thousands have had, prostate cancer.
The name of the book Armony’ is a name that echoes the word ‘harmony’, the linguistic meaning of which is matching, compatibility, uniformity, connection of the parts of the whole. Apparently, a name that does not fit the songs that describe the world of the speaker who is shaken upon learning of the disease, he accepts the reality and acts according to the diagnosis and completes the medical steps required to recover.
The book of poems ‘Aramonia’, which joins Alfi’s poetry books, is an exciting book. The complete honesty with which he tells about his illness, his treatment and the stages of recovery is combined with admirable humor.
